Engineering

What is Engineering?

Engineering is the use of science and math to find innovative solutions for complex problems. Engineers must produce solutions that perform well, as well as not cause harm to the public. From ancient Roman Aqueducts to the bridges cars drive over, engineering can be seen everywhere and is an integral part of life.

Engineering is a broad category with four main branches: mechanical, chemical, civil, and electrical. There are hundreds of engineering subcategories based on specializations within the four main branches.
