What? Where? How?

We seek to show humans how they interact with the world around them. Science is Real

The St. Petersburg Science Festival is an annual regional celebration where families and the public can explore the wonders of hands-on science, technology, engineering, art, and math (STEAM).

Thank you to everyone – sponsors (see below), exhibitors, volunteers, teachers and the steering committee – for making the 2023 event fabulous!  800 students from 4th and 5th grade attended Friday’s School Day and 12,000 participants attended Saturday’s Public Festival.

Our 2024 dates will be Friday, February 9th for School Day and Saturday, February 10th for the Public Festival.

The Festival is located at the University of South Florida St. Petersburg campus and Poytner Park – along the waterfront.

The event is held annually in conjunction with MarineQuest, the open house of the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission’s Fish and Wildlife Research Institute.   The two events happen side-by-side and attendees are able to walk from one to the other.

Thank you to all of our 2023 Sponsors!
