The St. Petersburg Science Festival is an annual regional celebration where families and the public can explore the wonders of hands-on science, technology, engineering, art, and math (STEAM). 

Our 2027 dates are Friday, April 2 for School Day and Saturday, April 3 for the Public Festival.

The Festival is located at the University of South Florida St. Petersburg campus and Poytner Park – along the waterfront.  It is held in conjunction with MarineQuest, the open house of the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission’s Fish and Wildlife Research Institute.   The two events happen side-by-side and attendees are able to walk from one to the other.

In 2026, we had 870 students on School Day to the 7500+ individuals/families on the Public Day learning from 100+ exhibitors.  Our incredible sponsors (listed below) made it possible for us to offer this event for FREE.
