The St. Petersburg Science Festival is an annual regional celebration where families and the public can explore the wonders of hands-on science, technology, engineering, art, and math (STEAM).

Mark your calendars for our 2027 dates – Friday, April 2 is School Day and Saturday, April 3 is the Public Festival.

The 2026 Festival was a Success!

Thank you to everyone!  From the 870 students on School Day to the 7500+ individuals/families on the Public Day, we had an incredible crowd on hand to learn from 100+ exhibitors.  We are especially thankful for our sponsors who make it possible for us to offer this event for FREE.

About the Festival

The Festival is located each year at the University of South Florida St. Petersburg campus and Poytner Park – along the waterfront.  It is held in conjunction with MarineQuest, the open house of the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission’s Fish and Wildlife Research Institute.   The two events happen side-by-side and attendees are able to walk from one to the other.

Thank you to all of our 2026 Sponsors!
